Some person(s) have decided that the power line right of way and the creek behind my farm is an ideal cash crop location. They must be some awful disappointed when the stuff is about 2weeks from harvest and I accidentally run over it with the bush hog.

There is a local chain store that sells garden supplies to rich Yuppies in the city, home brew supplies, and equipment that would allow one to grow veggies and other "stuff" in doors. They have lights, hydroponics, insulated "blankets", pumps, fertilizers, books, etc. all aimed at small scale growing in your dwelling. They even have demo units set up that would fit in a closet.

I might be a bit slow, but do ya think people REALLY want a garden fresh tomato in January THAT BADLY?:laughing::laughing:

Later,
Dan

In Indiana, its one old senator keeping the vote from coming to the floor.. The people are about 60% for (polls) and the head of the State Troopers is too as he's tired of wasting so much money on enforcement.

I do believe legalization for medical use is a good thing as there is a medical use. But as Most narcotic prescription's there is a danger for abuse, dependence or profit from selling on the street.

I never thought I would enter this debate on a tractor forum however THC is not a narcotic. Although California law calls it a narcotic, it is pharmacologicaly distinct from the family of opium derivatives and synthetic narcotics. Calling it a narcotic make it easier for policy makers to demonize it. It is also non addictive.

I agree I only meant to compare to narcotic prescriptions and their abuse. As far as addictive, jury is still out. I may be able to have only one alcoholic beverage a year but for someone else they may become an alcoholic.

The only issue I am having with pot smoking at the moment is the belief that just because smoking is illegal in some places pot isn't. It chaps me that when I go to a club or a show some moron is lighting up a blunt. I just don't like the smell or the smoke. could care less you are doing it, just go outside.

I agree.. if tobacco is illegal in bars/restaurants, then so should weed. They should be confined to the same smoking areas too. I heard Seattle is considering doing just that.

Non addictive?.. dunno. I went through **** the first 2-4 weeks of boot camp.. I see plenty of people dependent on it. Not saying which way it should go, legal or not, but there are plenty of 'mis conceptions' on both sides of the argument.

So, if someone can legally buy drug x at the corner pharmacy (rather than from the dealer) will they magically stop abusing it and stop stealing stuff to support their addiction? I doubt it.

Aaron Z
No, as prescription drug abuse and resales show.. But, if more insurances paid for it, there would be a drop as the need to do so would also drop.

That's why people who are addicted to a prescription drug Dr. Shop. But there is some control, good Dr's and pharmacy's do catch on. All though there are some Dr's who just write the script to get rid of the patient. Also believe it or not those who are dependent on prescription meds have insurance or are often "Disabled" and the cost is to Medicaid, tax payer paid! So it does cut down on some crime.

There are less and less 'pain management' doctors now due to tightening DEA/ATF enforcement. Shoot, my wife who has RA must submit to a pee test once a month. Those on Medicaid must pay the $150 outta pocket for the test.. I guess they are trying to weed out the sellers by making it more expensive.
