When you say "care-giver"...the owner is present and they are taking care of him/her?

Or are they "care-takers" watching a property for the owner? I only mention it because of "Holmes on Homes" episode a few years ago. Renters had set up a growing operation. The owner returns to find black mold throughout the house (I guess it takes a lot of moisture to grow the stuff) requiring a total stripping of the drywall/insulation and mold remediation. Worse yet is they had tapped into the electrical supply before the meter (braver that I am...that's live power). I don't know how she settled with the power company when the gave her the bill for their estimate of the power usage which I'm sure was not padded in any way.

If the latter and you know the owner and consider him/her a friend, then maybe a FYI call is in order. Otherwise MYOB I guess.

I'm guilty of not reading the whole thread so my apologies if this has been covered. I find it ironic that if it were people smoking cigarettes outside your window there is probably some local nanny law protecting your right to clean air. Get a couple pot heads involved and suddenly you can't do anything.

Make sure you have the realtors document why your house isn't selling. You may need it for legal action in the future.

Anyways, there are some areas that are trying to ban public smoking of weed too.. I mean, a 'No Smoking' area is NOT just for ciggs, but some seem to think so and light up in restaurants, bus stations, etc..

Pot legalization...proponents thought they could escape any of the down-sides that come with "sin" products...

Second hand smoke tobacco "science" has always been questionable (I confess that I smoke cigs) but am quite content with the new rules that make me step outside...my bars and restaurants are much more pleasant now.

And then pot crosses the line with alcohol in terms of impairment while driving.

So legal pot gets the double whammy...when the dust settles I think the product will continue to be the illegal kind...excise taxes and a ton of paperwork that the other "sin" products have to deal with vs. continuing to with business as usual???

A useful tip for selling a home is to bake bread or a pie just before or during a showing. When we were selling ours 10 years ago my wife prepared and froze several pies. She would bake one before the realtor and potential buyer arrived. We just had to do that three times before the house sold. So we had several pies left in the freezer which we managed to eat before we moved.

Nobody cares about small scale pot grow operations. When you get over an acre or so, they might take notice

An acre? What about one plant for 2x2 feet, or 4 sq ft? One acre might produce 11,000 plants.
Can one plant produce $200?. That's about $2.3 million for one harvest.
