Good for them. Some is OK, but looking back on it now, playing sports taught me more useful
things than being cheap labor on neighbors farms or at the service station.
However, work teaches a lot of even more useful life lessons. People need jobs for the rest of their adult lives. Starting at the bottom like being “cheap labor on a neighbors farm or at the service station” teaches humility and makes these kids realize how lucky they are when they have a better job.
Something I see lacking in today’s kids. Many are spoiled. They want to go to Harvard then get a 6 figure job telling other people what to do. It just creates spoiled, entitled monsters.
