3-Point Hitch Marking 3pt leveling arm so it doesn't drop

I'm late to the game but you could always take a cue from what some manufacturers do to mark the center of extension for a hyd cyl.. etc.. Add a 'travel rod'

Hose clamp a stiff wire rod to the leveling fork. Crankt he fork down to what you consider max travel. cut the stiff wire at a point that will coincide with some visual reference.. an existing mark.. or the bottom of the crank assy.. etc.

Easy to remove, or reposition and non maring.. etc.

The housing for my top link has a hole drilled near the ends. When the threaded rod is no longer visible in the hole, it's time to stop turning the thing.
