Hello i have a new to me 2008 1547 hst cabbed unit 1900hrs on worn industrial tires.

Owner changed the hydraulic fluid put in
April brand tdh recently before selling. Changed all filters except 1 gave me the new one as was backordered.

I got it stuck in the mud (rookie) wet sawd actually.
Got in pretty deep. A few times before using the bucket to curl it ahead you could throttle the pedal it revved up but none of the tires spun. Has calcium in rears. Was in mid range setting.

Has like auto throttle when pushing pedals it automatically revs up too without having to touch the hand throttle.

Is there some kind of saftey ect like a release pressure switch or something to stop it from burning itself out?

Also where could i find a manual for one? So many levers and switchs there is one im not sure what it is.

Thanks

I will never forget the sight of a large RV-Motor home with an automatic transmission one time, many years ago, buried with dual rear wheels in deep enough mud that all his drivetrain would do was to hum. The Harder he revs the engine the louder the hum without spinning the rear wheels. Except for yard mowing, that is a large part of why I will only buy/own stick transmission tractors. And still groaning over the last pickup truck I bought having no std trans option. Now the whole tractor industry copes with this indirect transfer of power constantly on thousands of machines and hundreds of models so I thought/assumed it was long ago solved in the tractor industry. Your experience sounds like there are exceptions !

You said you were in mid-range settings. I am 90% sure all you needed to do was switch into low range. It would have spun your tires.

I find the levers on this thing misleading. What one would think pushing lever forward showing front tires going forward being 4wd isnt. The lever has to be twoards the back. Looking at it i guess when forward the front tire is not solid black but white i guess meaning no power. And under this there is a lever with 2 positions lock and unlock. I assumed was rear diff lock. BUT after checking a few videos i think it is the cruise control. WHICH i engaged a couple times at idle LOL so thinking this is my issue cruise locked st idle haha. Found the foot lever for diff lock.

On the closest lever, the arrow pointing into the graphic gear notch means 4WD in gear.

Make sure your range lever is properly in position..turtle, or snail in this case. Sometimes it might need to be finessed into position

Once i engaged the heel lever for diff lock climbed right out. As assumed what i thought was diff lock is cruise lol. No wonder it didn't move the wheels i set at idle doh.

Anyone know the idle spec?

Thanks
