Great post... this is one of those situations you hope to learn from someone else....well...not to wish injury to others....but you get the point...

Anyone know if the hydrolic failed or the guy somehow bumped the stick?

Looks like the trailer behind the tractor was being used as a gooseneck and experienced  "failure to adhere" to the ford pu. The gooseneck then dug into the gravel stopping the trailer and sliding the tractor off the front. Why didn't it flip? Anybody know what really happened?

Always wondered how to "split" a tractor to change the clutch !!!!

That's one cowboy that needs new Wranglers.

Honestly, I don't know the where it happened... However, the guy that sent it to me, works with me,, so perhaps I can get more specifics...

He is a farmer, so perhaps it is someone he knows..

I don't think it's IL simply because if you look at the cropped picture I attached.. No front license plate on the explorer, means that vehicle isn't licensed in IL..

I was hoping to blow up the pic and view the Super Duty's plate, but unfortutely, the pic isn't high enough resolution....

Any one else got any guesses.. White plate for trucks???????????

Phil

I think podagrower is right. If there was a operator in the tractor, he would have been injured or worse. I don't know why the tractor didn't land on the truck, when it came off. I wonder how fast he was going? Don't see any tow straps or chains laying in the road. Looks like tines in road under tractor, unlesss he had a impliment on trailer in front of tractor. plowking
