Massey Ferguson 1526 FEL and 3 pth chatter in the loader valve??

Sounds like the relief valve is chattering. Is this something that started recently? Does it seem like you can lift less with loader or 3 point? Not common but possibly the spring took a set in the system relief changing the opening pressure which may or may not contribute to the chatter.

does your loader valve have the power beyond sleeve that requires an O-ring on the nose to seal? If yes another possibility is this O-ring is starting to fail close to relief pressure so leaks some oil pressure drops relief closes , cycle repeats.

So I pulled the pressure relief valve out added a .060” shim and got the pressure from 1750 to about 2000 ish and noise is gone I can lift a full load of top soil now no problem and I can curl the bucket and bottom out cylinder and no noise at all. I guess the prv was out of adjustment and needed to be bumped up a bit to get it to not chatter

So according to this I think being between 2000-2100 psi I should be ok now does this look ok ?

I would say your perseverance has solved your problem and that yes at 2000 PSI you very close to specs and I would leave well enough alone.

congrats on finding a simple solution - repair.

just a thought but possibly check the pressure again after using the loader for several hours just to see if the pressure is still same or very similar.
