So from what i have been reading putting chains/terragrips on the front tires of our sub compact is ok?

Also i have not read anyone mention the front floating postion for the Fel using the bucket.

Chains on the front are not recommended. But, people do use them, when necessary.

The front tires have to be able to slip, to avoid damage to the drive-train.

I would not do it. But, that's easy for me to say, since I don't ever need to.

Everyone has been talking about is using the float position, for the FEL. So, I don't understand the second question.

In this thread i have not seen the mention of the floating postion. I have read in other threads.

I read from other members as well the front chains are bad but i also keep reading about people using them. Just wanted to get some opinions from other members. My massey is brand new to me so winter will be a new experience. Ill be testing out the traction of it and so on if we get some snow.
