Anyone ever use a rubber edge when plowing on pavement? Concrete? It's something I decided against when ordering the blade, but wonder if I should have done it.

I have chains on my rears and had the same issues with loss of steering unless the fronts have gravel or blacktop to grab. Like Walt, I've considered putting chains on the fronts but I fear drivetrain issues due to using the 4wd. For a couple of years I also had my bh on but going uphill proved treacherous as the hoe was too much weight. I then built a ballast barrel and that was much better at helping me grip without the too much weight. Last year with blowing snow on the gravel road that I maintain when I'm up here, I went through 6 sheer pins in one storm due to the road not freezing yet and scraping up many stones, so I picked up a 5' rear blade at TSC that I use to scrape the snow off the road while using the blower on the blacktop drive. I love it! This year I built a "box" to fit on the blade to hold my buckets of sand, pole to clean out auger if necessary and two ammo boxes to hold sheer bolts, tools and chains just in case. I'll post a photo if I can today.

Nice setup, pixguy. Looks like you have a beautiful setting there, great pics. Can you fit a 12 pack in that middle compartment? :licking:
