Bob,
I am sure that seems like a lot, even for a somewhat obsolete item, but I doubt you can have one built for that and have it be to spec. Since the 1304 3086 mentioned is for the ML265 you can see the cost for a similar part for the new loader is even MORE expensive. You may indeed be getting it at a discount. I really don't think that price is out of line for the part. Sorry.....:(

MUSA.... I agree that dealer has come back with an answer and done his part. I hope his service continues to improve.

Quick question: My '02 6000 has a Mdl 264 FEL, not a 265. Is this the same part for both??? Thanks for your help. BobG in VA

I am also interested in switching my 6000 over to QA. Can anyone tell me how difficult the task is and how much I will spend on the parts? It has a Great Bend loader on it. Also need bail spear. Thanks.

BobG,

I'm not sure where in Northern Virginia you are located, but there is a good chance that D&G Equipment in Augsta, WV is probably closer than Ashland -- and they are real helpful with everything. They are about 25 miles west of Winchester, just off Route 50. They handle a lot of other farm equipment too. D&G Equipment Sales - Home Page

It is not the exact same part, as the loaders are quite different. They are very similar, but not interchangeable.

Switching over is just a matter of removing your pins that hold the bucket on. Not a difficult task at all.

4 years ago the QA attachment and bucket for my 6000 (and I believe I have the same loader as BobG) was a $500 upgrade. Worth every penny of it I might add!

Yea, wish I had thought to add QA to my original purchase. I have an ML264. Anyone on here been through the process? How hard is it to change over? I don't weld, so other than have the plate welded on, is it a fairly simple process to change over? And, when I do, will I be able to use all skid steer products? I have QA on my NewHolland, are they the same?
Thanks

Slippy,
Other than having the adapter plate welded on to your bucket, changing to the Q/tach is only a matter of the 4 pins. Your New Holland Q/tach could be something other than the skidsteer system. If you could post some pictures of it, I should be able to tell you if it is compatable.

I will take some later today and try to upload. Do you have any pics of what it is supposed to look like after the conversion?
