Ok - i am still screwed trying to get my tractor to start. dealer is 50 miles away and has been useless after many attempts to get help.
so - and please no lectures and be patient - i do not now that much - i have no serious metric tools and i am trying to attempt to get this woking myself. other than that i may have to try to get the local john deere dealer to fix this if they want to or can...
first - is the starter the unit that the solenoid screws into or is connected to? how easy is it to replace? do you need any extra gaskets, screws/bolts etc besides the atual starter unit to replace. what metric tool sizes are needed?
how easy is it to replace the 3 glowplugs? again what size sockets or wrenches are required?
i knew there was maybe another couple of questions i was going to post last night before i went to sleep but just needed to sleep and post this sruff this morning... so i may ask more later. need to go out and cultivate and get some stuff planted.
oh any diagrams of parts locations and instruuctions would be greatly appreciated. and again, be patient with an old sick man with a knows enough to be dangerous amount of knowledge re: tractors and engines etc.
thank you all!
