Max 28xl question

Pulled a hydraulic/transmission filter and fluid change on a max 28xl this weekend. Quick question the fill for the hydraulic and transmission fluid is all the same correct? I’ve never worked on a hyrdrostatic before and the book made it seem like it was all one fill if you drained each final drive and the transmission plus the hyrdraulic filter and the transmission filter am I correct????

The book didn’t make it super clear it would just say see transmission fluid change for one and the other said see hydraulic fluid change not to sure

My tractors 2815 HST and the transmission all share the same fluid, you should check the level at the HST dip stick.
So to your question yes one fill.
Won't hurt to change your front axle fluid also, gear lube per manual, assuming
that you live in a warm area.

Theres also several plugs to take out underneath to get all the fluid out. Seems like there was 3 under my 26xl if i remember correctly.

My tractor has has 6 drain plugs on the transmission and only found all of them by looking at the remove engine section of the service manual, owner manual didn't show everything the first time.
First time changing the oil I new something was wrong as I didn't use enough fluid, it supposed to takes 8.2 gallons.

My 26xl has 3 drain plugs, and yes, the Hydraulic and Hydrostatic fluid are one. Check and fill on the floor in front of the seat.
