Maybe a new truck Ford or Dodge?

Stay away from the 'Godzilla' 7.3 gasser. They are having continuing issues with the heads and camshafts. The heads are blowing out spark plugs and the cam shafts are not heat treated properly (I know who is doing the heat treat btw) and the cam lobes are disintegrating and spewing metal parts all over inside the engines, which cause a complete rebuild under warranty.

This is just false. I am very active on Ford-Trucks.com, and outside a few early 2020 7.3’s in RVs, there are virtually no issues with the heads or cam.

New 6.7 Powerstrokes are destroying CP4s and have upper oil pan leaks. I’d be very leery of them.

And you have to wait for failure for Ford to replace. The 2019-2021 Rams were offered to be replaced before failure.

The new Ford powerstrokes are extremely high cost for maintenance. The fenders have to be removed to do many services. One of my BILs has one and told me it’s usually close to $1K when he leaves the shop. I have 5 BILs in the ranching business. Slowly they have converted from Ford to Dodge because of the powerstroke maintenance costs. And they spend their days hauling cattle and feed trailers. The Cummins motors are bullet proof and the maintenance is simpler. Yes Dodge did some front end issues and transmission issues; back in the 1990s and early 2000s. Not an issue with the new Rams.
Certainly is an ongoing issue and they just got class action sued for the 'death wobble' and the steering boxes pull off the frame rails due to defective (as in Chinese made Huck bolts. Lets not forget about the leaking rear differentials either that my old employer supplied the cheap steel for that stress cracked when roll formed and leaks gear oil through the stress cracks or the lousy fit and finish on exterior and interoir components, not excusable in a 100 grand truck.

Bottom line us they all suck for 100 grand+ truck that is worth maybe 35 grand tops.

I don't have that issue with my 97 F350 Powerstroke because it an OBS model with a long hood. Once Fords stuffed the engine back under the cowl and against the firewall tight, the only way to do any engine work was pull the cab off or pull the inner fender inserts, depending on what the repair entailed. I don't have that issue other than removing the back right hand side valve cover bolts or the head rearmost head bolts on the right rear bank. Flat at a time with a box wrench and lots of 4 letter words. All the components on my 97 are out front and the oil filter is actually in the right place, not inverted like on the new (European styled) powerstroke up top and messy. A new truck is not in my cards ever. Heck my 97 just turned 100 no rust and runs just fine for me.

What is a CP4 btw? Not into buzz words at all. Far as oil pan leaks, non existent on my 7.3. But I Fluid Film it every fall. It's messy but it works well. Do the same on my wife's Suburban.

At what age or mileage?
I haven't seen that myself or on the forums I frequent.

High Pressure fuel pump. All of the modern Diesel pickups have some version of one.

The high pressure fuel pump mounted on the engine. It pushes fuel at up to 30,000psi to the injectors. When it goes out, it sends metal through the entire fuel system, injectors, and even back to the tank. Repair costs are 5 figures.
