Measuring Plows:

Just a quick question?....have a set of three bottom plows and was wondering, what is the correct method of measuring these, as to 12"---14"---16"?......
I measured them one way and then somebody else measured them another....
This is sort of important,because of the size of my tractor......and being able to pull the plows......(I understand that soil type makes a lot of difference)...
But I have been plowing, and farm type work for many years and this question has always confused me...............Thanks for any and all info.....Mike

Thanks for the link ...Leadpoison.....I've did a little more research and got it....
now I want to research how to adjust......I had a set of 4 bottom plows and the right side was digging about 10-12"deep and the left side was out of the ground.....leveling bar was backwards...they were used and that was the way I bought them, so person befor me, didn't know how to set them up either....

ok so while ive never actually layed a hand on one.... Its my understanding they all work basicly the same....
