A couple years ago I posted about a 4100 burning while sitting next to the barn on the neighbors place. I got the tractor and sold a couple parts off of it, but basically it sat going to rust out back. I noticed a that the loader still had a little green paint on it when they loaded it last week to go to a tractor parts salvage yard. The only part I saved was the bucket, because I might want to build a 3pt hitch style loader someday. (I have a 30" pond scoop that I don't use, so why not another bucket????) The tractor was low hours, and the short block was not affected by the fire, though a couple of the aluminum parts got hot around the motor. Somebody will probably need the gears from the front end axle someday, so hopefully it will not head for a scrap steel melting pot.
