Melted Brake Light Lenses! :-o

This is happening on both sides.
I first noticed this at around 70 hrs on the tractor. Half of that time was backhoe work, during which the brake was engaged with the lights on for long periods.

Why are you setting the brake to run the backhoe? May try not doing that to see if it solves the problem. Just put the loader bucket down to hold the tractor steady while you mount the hoe end.

I set the brake as soon as I stop moving the tractor. Yes I do put the loader bucket and stabilizers down. Still, as stated before, it shouldn't matter. The lenses should be designed to withstand the heat from the bulbs inside them.

Speaking of park break does anyone else not have a break light on the dash when the park brake is set.

Some LS tractor owners had the same problem. I replaced my bulbs with LED's before mine melted the lenses.

Mine are LED from the factory.


I never leave the seat without setting the parking brake.

Mine shows no light on the dash when the brake is set. Is it supposed to? I always just glance at the pedal or red lever.

It has a light in the dash just not hooked up, the first time I used the tractor I ran it with the brake on for about 5 minutes. The first mod I made to it was to get that light to work when the brake was set lol.

Mine are LED from the factory.

Yours must be newer than mine as mine were not LED.

Ditto on my Emax 22. Dealer had not seen that before.... I replaced the bulbs with led. I could not find lenses anywhere

Big Chief do you know if the emax 22 and the RK 24 have the same rear tire bolt pattern, was wondering if wheel spacers are interchangeable.
