Mad,
In the backhoe circuit, is the direction of travel the only cylinder which has pressure or does the other cylinder get pressurized on the opposite end as well? In other words, is the swing, a function of one cylinder or two? Just a question I thought I needed to know.

You can only tell by looking at the plumbing. My guess is that they are both double acting cylinders which means that one will push and the other will pull.
