Meteric fittings?

Here are pics of my Jinma hose solution. The factory hoses blew apart and when I cut them open they weren't installed all the way. I took the Jinma end and welded an american fitting (#8 JIC if I remember correctly) then use SAE hose with ends.
Also I needed to add quick disconnect to my supply hose. I welded a pipe nipple to a plate and made a flange out of the plate and bolted the fittings together.

Do those Jinma-proprietary fittings appear on the backhoe too?

Would I need to make adapters like that if I get the backhoe?

Bring the banjo bolt with you. Banjo crimps are a rare dog, however, banjo bolts are either BSPP or Metric. You can get an adapter to go in the port that the banjo bolt was in that goes to JIC which is available anywhere. I've done this many times. Metric x JIC elbows are common.

Wait a minute, there's a little confusion here.

On my Jinma, there's a metric banjo fitting on the suction hose at the sump, that hose terminates in a 3/4" NPT that mates with a filter head (I replaced the filter head with one from Northern Hydraulics because of a platic part in the OEM filter head that broke). The output side of the pump is a banjo fitting that terminates in a 1/2" NPT with a QD on it, the mating QD also is a 1/2" NPT, that hose then goes to the diverter/priority valve, and I can't say about that fitting.

The QD's are there to allow the FEL to be inserted into the circuit. In short, I've had no difficulties (to this point, anyhow) with any of the fittings on the tractor.

I DO have issues with the fittings on my LW-7 backhoe, that's where the 18mm metric O-ring fittings are. Some folks have fabricated solutions, one is seen above, there are others.

I have yet to locate an off-the-shelf 18mm metric o-ring to, say JIC adapter.

Guess I should have worded my question more clearly.

On the LW-7 I would expect to tear off a hose once in a while. Somewhere on the hoe's plumbing, not the hoe/tractor interface.

For field replacement of a torn hose, would I need to salvage that hose's fittings and braze them to JIC before I could install a replacement hose from the local hydraulic shop?

Some where in the last week I've seen a post where a guy took an M18 nut and then took an M18 to JIC 8 (or something) male to male adapter. He cut the metric side down to only a few threads and put a "flat" face on it. Threaded this onto the nut and then brazed the two together. He then had an adapter to go from M18 flat face with o-ring to a JIC 8 on the other side.
If push come to shove I'll go that route and make a 4 or 5 of these.
I'm guessing you could mig these together. Right?

What would happen if you took a female M22 fitting and put a washer in the bottom of the fitting. Mind you I'd start with an over size washer then mill it to a nice tight fit.

I've got an Adaptoll catalog at my shop. I'll look tomorrow. I can swear I looked in it for these and didn't see anything. Wedge, if you replace these fittings, I would pay you for them. I think I can screw a conventional metric on there and make it work with no machining, but I would need one in my hands to make sure. Andy.

I think I can screw a conventional metric on there and make it work with no machining, but I would need one in my hands to make sure. What I am thinking is that a 12mm light female fitting may work. When you go to Indy tomorrow, ask them to try one and see how it looks. If it doesn't, you could get a counterbore tool and machine the fitting and then it will definately work. No welding or fancy machining required. Just one tool and a drill press.

The hose is standard 100R2, basically just plain ol' 2 wire.

*****I just checked the adaptall online catalog. The 9022 fitting in the post above will not work. The 9022 is a male JIC x metric female. If it was metric ORFS, it would specify it. I remember e-mailing Darryl at adaptall and received confirmation of this.
