I've seen video of it. You're right about it being cruel. I can't for the life of me understand how people who say they are horse lovers could ever have anything to do with that atrocity.

When I was 11 or 12, I used to take horses across the mountain into Kentucky from Tennessee. Yes, I drove the truck and trailer by myself, with no adult supervision. The farm was in Barboursville, Kentucky where I witnessed the training. I was only taking two mares to have them bred, and they were not subjected to that cruel treatment. Although I might add that when a Stallion decides to breed the Mare, the Stallion will perform the deed one way or another. Biting and forceful techniques by the Stallion is just a reality when Nature is involved. In some cases, definitely not a scene from a Disney movie.

Horses and dogs have always been a comfort to me. I have been taking care of them and they have been taking care for 35 years now. I consider this time well spent.
