Meyer Plow for my tractor

/ Meyer Plow for my tractor #31
I got the hydraulic hoses and cylinders last night so I mounted up the plow for the first time. I also go the shoes on Tuesday. It worked great. I am just now waiting on the decal kit which may be here today.

Chris

Why do you needs decals?

Don't forget the hydraulic cushion valve, some say there's no relief in the hydraulic system.

I put decals on it because I pay attention to detail and take pride in my work. No matter how small the detail is.

As for the x-over I am not worried.

Thanks for taking note Builder....:p

You do very nice work, and I know you will enjoy the front mount plow when there is a lot of snow to move quickly.

I also mounted a plow on the front. Works like a dream. Now for a wing plow.

Beenthere,

Thats the best looking set up I've seen. Looks clean & simple.

Custom by you or a kit?

Seems like a lot of these plow companies (Meyer, Western, etc.) could make some profit selling plow frames for tractors as well as trucks.

Yeah....different strokes I guess. I don't need to pay for decals to advertise for anyone.

Well you know how I feel about you so enough said. :D

Very nice. Do you have a FEL that you take on and off?

Yes, I switch back and forth, tho mostly do not need the FEL during the winter.
And the Deere FEL is a 2-3 minute job to drop off. Faster if there was a way to jettison the four hyd. hoses. (grin smiley here).

I built a quick attach for the Western plow that engages the slots in the belly mower mounting plates and then tilts up to bolt to the front weight bar. So mounting is about a 10 minute task at most.

Here is a pic of the fabrication stage (before final paint) of the attaching framework.
