Buying Advice MF 1030 replacement engine

I have a 1987 MF 1030 with a blown Toyosha 3 cyl diesel engine. What other diesel engine can I get that will bolt up?

I also have a 1030 with a blown engine. I hope some other engine will fit. Maybe a 1040

I have a post here asking about the same engine in my Deutz Allis 5215. Did you ever find out what engines will work and if adapter plates etc were used? Funny how we never get a response on these questions that many farmers know the answer to.

From what I hear the Toyosha MS142 in the 1030 and the MS150 in the 1035 are bolt-up identical. I have heard of at least one person who had a trashed engine in a 1030 use a 1035's engine to re-power.

Probably the best option would be to find a junked 1030 or 1035 with a working engine and swap. I see 1030s and 1035s "for parts" show up from time to time in my area.

Yea I also need a block or replacement engine and it too can be something other then a Toyosha
