So was you able to fix the leak? Hate to make a mess of the new paint job.

GerardC--I've seen a couple on Ebay that went for right at $8000 but they were all original with half the hours. I've got about $5000 in this not including the 60 gallon air compressor or the various other had to have tools. As attached as I've gotten to this tractor, I've already told the fiancee that it will be around for a long time.

Thcri--That particular leak was fixed with a new pto shaft seal. I've still got a small leak at the left rear axle seal but I'm not too motivated to fix it just yet. I've also got an even smaller oil leak that I can also live with. I can pretty much accept a few small leaks on something this old.

Wow TxTom that looks great! My husband has just started on a MF 135 that has been neglected over the years on the ranch I grew up on. I told him I would help him out - maybe I can paint!

It's good to see the finished product!

Jeez! You were doing great till the last photo, then you had to go and actually use it! Now there's dust on it! Too bad... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Actually, AMAZING JOB!

I've got an old 135, but it's a gasoline version, still very strong, but looks about like yours did before restoration. Now you've got me thinkin.....

I've seen some at a dealership about an hour away that the dealership restored and the ask $12m - $13m for them. I've got a 67' MF135 and have toyed with rebuilding. It would need all new sheet metal, fuel tank etc. Just don't have a place to rebuild it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
