Wow, that's disappointing, are you required to transport it to them?

Yes, but, fortunately it's close, and I have plenty of trailers. Just heard back from them. Apparently the injector that feeds the regen system is plugged. They said that there are two fuel filters from the tanks missing.....unlikely, I saw one underneath when I was building the skid plate, but both tanks are joined with a crossover and it only feeds from one.......so it only needs one, and of course there is the separator on the engine itself.
They should have caught this the first time around, and appears they are covering it under warranty.

Sorry for the not so well put title and dialogue for first time use. My name is Nick and I purchased the MF in July of 2015. It is a huge upgrade from my 1962 Ford Industrial 2000. I love the tractor but was extremely aprehensive with this new tier 4 stuff. After much research in the new and used market I finally decided to go with the Massey because of the reputation. I have 6.5 acres and I use it for land clearing, snow removal, and fun. As you can tell I was a little frustrated with the recent events with it because it is a fairly big investment and don't want to see it turn into a guinea pig as they work through this new technology. I am just curious if anyone else out there has had any similar issues. I will post what they find hopefully today. once again sorry for the rough first time post and thanks for the help.

our 2015 mf model 1734e we had the same problems for 2 years back and forth to the dealer. they finally traded for a 2017 1734e cost a little extra weve had it 1 week and we are starting over with troubles my husband is disable and we use it manely for plowing snow, problems with the regen and it was dog tracking up the hill and there was a grinding noise . my husband says they can keep it. so frustrated . angry

Ok, here goes. The filter underneath the tractor on a crossover tube has a paper element. Same size as a lawnmower filter. It has a 90 degree elbow on one end. I replace those with an aftermarket filter: carquest number 86006.

Lack of fuel flow through the paper element causes lack of flow through the injectors in the burner, thus overheating. This leads to fuel dribble instead of fuel atomization.

It could also be the glow plug on top of your burner not lighting, so the fuel wouldn't burn.

Could be your air pump not working (but I doubt it).

You must be extra particular about trash in your fuel tank on these tractors. Any fuel flow obstruction can cause this issue.

Don't pour the dregs out the bottom of your fuel can into anything you care about.
