Buying Advice MF 2003 1428V 4x4

[TN DRIFTER]

I have seen some talk on these forums of parts problems with some MF tractors.
Does apply to a 2003 model?
This tractor has set outside is weathered and dull looking. It has 230 hrs on it.
Equipment that comes with the tractor is 1464 FEL, 1464 belly mower. a scrape blade, and a bush hog
The asking price is 11500 but he has already dropped the price a thousand to 10500. He seemed pretty firm on that price.
I know everybody has their final price and I want to be fair in my offer. Any suggestions
This will be my first tractor so I need all the help I can get. Thanks

Found this one, prices are regional of course and it's a dealer selling it. Doesn't have a loader though and the one you're looking at does, along with a couple of other implements.

I can't give you any advice from a personal experience, haven't seen too many 1428Vs for sale.

$10500.00 is not a bad price. I am sure most 1528 parts would fit. most of the changes from the 1428 and 1528 where body style changes. I had the 1528 due to, I purchased it new and no 1428's where available. great tractors. just make sure the clutch is in good shape, these are geared tractors, and most have been worked hard. $1800.00 for a new clutch replacment.
