MF 2300 quote

I went to several dealers Saturday. Looked at a BX22-1830, Massey2300 and a JD 2210. The TZ was quoted at $11,271 with 60" MMM. The BX 2230 w/ 60" MMM was $10,145 and the BX 1830 was $9,705 with 54" MMM. The JD 2210 was quoted at $13,999 with 62" MMM, FEL and for Saturday only, a box blade. I think the FEL was about $2800-$3000 option for the all the other tractors. All dealers had pros and cons for their units and others. The Massey seems to have rather high hydraulic flow 6.1 gpm vs the NH at 3.9 gpm. The NH guys says the Massey is foaming and burning the hydraulic fluid. The JD and the BX are rated 1 to 2 gpm lower. Not sure what/who to believe. I think I'm at the point where I might just get a large Lawn Tractor and rent equipment when I need. I'm confused....... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The NH guys says the Massey is foaming and burning the hydraulic fluid.
The only thing that is burning is what he is smoking. Most of the specs on the Massey are slightly higher than the competition.

Originally I was in the same situation as you are , deciding on which model and brand name with the best features to spend my money on . I did not like JD's plastic floorboards , nor did I like the legroom on the Kubota. The Case and the New Holland , one is dark red and the other is blue pretty much the same price and the tractors are basically the same. After much comparison and a lot of asking questions to finally make up my mind , all I can tell you is there is bright red parked in my pole barn. Do a lot of shopping for price on the net and if you are willing to drive a little I am sure you will find a dealer that is willing to sell a tractor under the local competition.......... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif PS My hydraulics have no foaming problems nor does the fluid have any type of burned smell to it. 66 hours and climbing

I just bought the GC2300 after about a year of research and determining what I really need for 3 acres. I paid $11,900 with the 2350 loader and 62" MMM. The JD2210 was $13,500 with the same package. This is SE michigan.

All my research was very favorable towards the 2300. The 2210 was also pretty good- couldn't touch the price on the 2300 though!

$11700 not only touches 11900 it beats it.
For $2000 more than this I got a BH on my Kubota.

( UH don't you mean a backhoe for $3800 more.........$11700 and $2000 more don't equal $15500 /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif let me see..........MFGC2310 with Turf Tires and wheels , MF 2350 FEL , MF2325 60"MMM , New set of MF AG tires and wheels , 2 oil filters and an air filter.......PKG $ 11790. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Darn got beat by $90............ /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.Oh sorry I did not need a backhoe but I can get a frame mount quick attach from Woods if I need it.......... )

JD price for 2210 without a BH $13500.
My BX23 with a BH cost $15500.

15500 minus 13500 equals 2000 not 3800.
I did not pay 17300 so no I did not mean 3800 more than the JD for my BX23.

You misread and miss understood my post. I never said a thing about comparing the price of my tractor with the BX 2230 for 11700.
BTW 11700 for the BX2230 is 1800 less than the JD for 13500.

I like you have entered the confusing world of Subcompact tractors but I bought a 2310 Massey when the day was done. You will find that it outperforms the competition on paper and so far in practice. I dont like the way the mower works on my tractor but all things being equal, it is a superior unit. Just take a deep breath and make the leap you will not be sorry. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

If you have use for the backhoe, and most seem to have use for it, The Gc2310 appears to be the best unit. I got the best deal from Lemon's Farm Equip. in Parkersburg, W. Va. and they are super people to deal with. Highly recommended all around. Machine is a great piece of equipment just make sure you get a 2005 model. There are still some new 2004
models out there, but they don't have the improvements. Good luck!!!

Please let me apologize for my abruptness in response in my last post....I was only reading the figures at the bottom of each of your posts.....bx2230 $8100, fel $2300 , mmm $1300 , bh 3800 does total ..$15500 and I think you said you paid $11700 and got a bh for about $2000 more total $13700 not $15500 which would be a $3800 difference from $11700.....and I am inccorect once again because of my inability to type correctly I have a GC2300 /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif not a 2310 which is the only reason to add a Woods BH . I am somehow unable to punch in two zero's in a row......
