MF-253 Axle Housing Seal Leak

Hey All,

I recently came into possession of a MF-253 with about 4500hrs of use pulling attachments in an orchard. The rear right axle is leaking hydraulic fluid pretty bad - bad enough that it needs topping off every other week or so to keep things running smoothly. I have it all pulled apart and have been studying the parts breakdown on Agco Parts, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to get to the bad seal. Unfortunately it’s the one all the way at the bottom of the planetary (25). Anyone have experience with this?

you have to take out three gears or one with wider opening then there are lock rings on top of stub axle knock the off
Then if your lucky it will let you pry off if not you have to press it off sometimes heat the housing to get it off
Mf makes a tool threaded shaft and tapered nut to pull them off ruined a bunch of them
Would bolt it to weighted wheel and go around in circles
