Came across this tractor this weekend. 2000, 2wd, 4,500hrs., two remotes, diff lock, great tires, decent looking machine. It is getting a clutch and then will be for sale. Think it will be about $6,500. That seems like a decent price for a decent 1 owner machine. I really like fords and would rather have a 4610/5610 but this seems like a good machine. I know nothing about them and can't find much about them. Good bad?

Oh yea it's really really wide too.

Can be narrowed up easy enough, price sounds fair with new clutch in it... Be a nice, solid tractor.

If TractorData is correct, that is about a 5000+# tractor built in '98-'99 with a turbo engine and 53 PTO hp. That is a good size and weight for a acreage maintenance like I do. If it has the synchro shift trans and checks out good, it is a good deal from what I see around here. I'm not sure I want a turbo tractor, though. Lots of stuff can happen when the turbo lets go.

I've been looking at a 2000 model 243 with synchro shift and the seller wants $7000 and it needs a paint job desperately. I don't think it has ever been under a shed. I drove it this morning and the lift leaks down slowly when shut off. I passed for the time being.

Brought it home today for $4500.

Wow if the $4,500.00 price is not a typo that is a still. Looks like to narrow the tires they did not change the direction of the tire.

Just a lift and flip to be road ready. I will make it wide again. The $4,500 is right but I purchased it as is not repaired. Why pay them the labor when I can save all the fun for myself.

That sounds like a good deal even it it needs a clutch. What transmission is in it?
