MF 35?

Does anyone know about these tractors? I'm searching for something that I could mow 8.5 acres with, while doing other small farm chores also. Can it fit a rototiller, post pounder?
How old are they? Thanks for any info!

Your talking about a 40 year old tractor. They are good for what they are, just a basic no-frills tractor. I would make sure I got the diesel version and that the clutch feels good. Any attatchment will hook up to it. Good luck.

Yes this tractor would do any of the things you mentioned. The first tractor I ever drove was a 35 Deluxe I was 7 years old and in a hay field.

I have a gas powered 62 MF 35 with power assisted steering. It does all I ask. It is very simple to maintain. I have never used a post pounder though and don't know how they operate. The internal hydraulics have a pretty low flow rate so anything like a loader would need an auxiliary pump. I even have a Davis 220 full sized backhoe for mine. That's quite a load for the 35 but it handles it and I'm sure it beats one of those little three point jobs.

The MF 35 and the MF 50 are basically the same tractor with different sheet metal. If you need a loader definitely go for the 35 with an auxiliary pump set up.

Whatever you do, go to Big Dean's Massey website. He is a retired Massey mechanic and is the one of the best sources of practical information on these little tractors.

My dad and I also have a MF 35. It is a great little tractor, and for those who don't know is comparible to the Ford N Series tractors. It will not only mow, but we plow and do a lot more general work with it. And boy, you won't believe it, but we plow with a THREE bottom plow. I am telling you, that is a strong little sucker!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
