One of the things, which I would look at is :Where is the fuel line positioned, in relationship to the exhaust manifold? On my NAA, the gas line was fairly close, and behind the exhaust manifold. It ran fine for 50 years, until they changed to ethanol fuel .... ethanol boils at a lower temperature than regular gas, as a result, when the tractor got hot, it was "vapor locking" ... it wouldn't even run right with the choke out. I wrapped the fuel line with fiberglass stove seal rope and have had no further problems. ??

Son of a gun, I never even thought of that. I will give it a try and report back.

Thanks,

Sincerely,
carpediem

Houston, we have lift-off

Was out using the tractor for chipping wood yesterday with a friend.

As usual, it started to sputter. We moved the fuel filter. Still sputtering and starving of gas. Left machine at my friends overnight.

Come back the next day and my friend shows me a bunch of small pebbles about the size of seeds. Says they were in the gas tank. He had drained the gas and cleaned out the tank. Now, works like a charm.

Who knew it would be such an easy fix.

Thanks to all for your help and advice.

Regards,

carpediem
