MF GC2300 2350 loader weak

i just purchased a second Massey Ferguson GC2300 - this one with a 2350 loader. the tractor has about 1800 hours on it and is in very nice condition. the loader feels weak to me as it labors to raise the front wheels off the ground when the bucket is down. does the hydraulic pump need repaired? maybe joystick is leaking... maybe lift cylinders need rebuilt? any and all suggestions appreciated.
