MF400C Drott/Dozer or Hanomag

Hi All,

Having a great deal of difficultly finding information on this MF400C which I have owned for about a year. The final drive seals were shot and subsequently let water and dirt into the final drive compartment, so I removed the sprocket etc to replace the seals. I noticed on the outside bull gear bearing there was slight pitting and hard face wear/removal. So I am wanting to replace all the bearing's etc in the final drive. Availability is no issue, but I can't find the correct bearing pre-load anywhere. All these bearings are shimmed and if I can't find the right pre-load information, I have half tempted to put the old bearings back in. Any information would be appreciated? Cheers OCF

I found numerous hits for repair/service manuals for the 400C. I know downtime could hurt waiting for one to arrive, but could save in repairs later. There are also some that you can download for a fee. Never tried one of those though.

Thanks fella's. I checked out the links, but they seem to be for a wheeled MF Tractor. Mine is a MF400C Drott. I will keep researching and hopefully something will jump out at me. Appreciate your help and efforts mate. Cheers OCF
