Hi,
When I first bought my tractor I thought there should be a cover for the mid pto, similar to that which is provided for the rear pto.
But, after thinking about it...not sure it is needed. PTO is not turning and it really out of the way normally. I don't have any reason to use it as I have a RFM.
I don't think those little plastic covers would offer any protection when doing loader work.
If you want the cover for protection, you probably need to make a skid plate of some type. I did that for the front area to protect the plastic drive shaft cover on my
B2910. I also plan on making some kind of skid plate to protect the rear bottom area, but probably not until next spring at this rate.
In any event, it seems like there are other things under there that are more likely to be damaged than the mid pto, if that is your concern. Like hydraulic lines and possibly filters if the
B7500 is similar to its bigger brother.
The mid pto ony turns when you have it selected, so if you have nothing under there when doing loader work there should be little to worry about. You should not have to worry about it grabbing anything, as it will not be turning, since you will not have it selected.
I have put a LOT of loader hours on mine in the last 2 months...maybe 80 ... some in rough conditions...and have not found the unguarded mid PTO to be any concern at all.
