That’s going towards building more charging stations and solar panels.
Buying new ICE vehicles and gas/diesel is literally subsidizing the EV.
I bet with every $10,000 Ford makes off an F-150 a large chunk goes into subsidizing one of their EV’s built with mostly Chinese parts.

Oil is in a freefall, almost $10/bbl in a week, so prices at the pump should be decreasing. Diesel here is at $3.78, down from $3.90 when I last filled up the truck. Regular gas is down to $3.00. Since inflation and high interest rates are forecast to stick around, demand for products is forecast to go down.

And gasoline futures are also dropping quickly.

Diesel here in NS as of Oct-04-23 is CAN$2.06L = US$ 5.67 a US gallon so it's not happening here at all. Gas is CAN$1.74L = US$4.76 a US gallon
