It did well today, which is not good news for the price at the pump. Been doing good for a while now. For example, it looks like we sold July crude at $76. Still have a fair amount to go to get near last year's high or the historical highs of 2008. The two bottom charts are monthly averages, not the highest daily price.

What does D&D stand for or represent?? I see it as 'Dumb & Dumber.

Please elaborate?
Exactly what my partner and I named the company. Some years ago, he and I were playing cards with the wives. My wife was relating a story about something I did and was saying how dumb it was to her. Partners wife jumps in to relate how much dumber he is because....The next day he and I were laughing about it and decided to name our part time gig D&D (50-50 with the letters being reassignable based on the days events). When we both left the military, things shifted to full time and it’s been a wild ride. The wives still joke about us not getting parts in the movie

When I see $3.59, I look for somewhere else.

The current 'spread' in this area, according to gas buddy is 3.34-3.69. Where we left near Ft. Worth is 3.19.

$3.34 for regular gas, $3.85 for diesel. The spread between the 2 is getting wider.

Filled up yesterday, Diesel was $4.39 and regular gas was $3.79. We're down $.20 since the Labor Day spike.

Had to fuel in Alturas, California yesterday. It was painful......

Ouch. But at only a 7% surcharge for premium, that choice becomes easier. Most people can see 5-10% mpg improvement on premium, plus your engine just runs nicer overall. Unless you drive a turd that doesn't care, of course.

Darn! Just realized all my gas-powered vehicles are turds...the way I drive, the octane I use doesn't seem to make any difference at all.

Only increase I've ever seen with higher octane is horsepower with a turbo engine. Never seen better mpg with any vehicle in 40 years of driving.

Where did you learn math. But lets check your work. If you take 30.75 and add in 75% to it (add a 1 to the % and multiply), what do we get? 30.75*1.75 = 53.81.

The way you subtract a percent from a whole number is...(add a 1 to the % and divide)

123/1.75 = 70.29

Check the math

70.29*1.75 = 123

You don't want to play in my sand box with me.
That is not at all how you do it.

If you're saying that a value decreased by 75% then what you have is:

123 (original value)
75% of 123 = 92.25 (123 * .75) (reduction amount)
123 - 92.25 = 30.75 (final value)

So the equation looks like:

V1 - (V1*.75) = V2

The way to find how much of a percentage of a reduction there is between two numbers is:

New value
------------
Old value

70.9/123 = 57.14xx% reduction
