Most of them, I did the vertical up, and the weld on the 3/4-inch plate. The box tube, and vertical down are dragon's.:cool:

Thank you... I will take credit for some... and you are right, SA is a helluva teacher. Amazing how much information I walked away with in a short amount of time. I spent last night reflecting on how much I learned about technique, wire, gun position, reading the puddle, measuring the bead, arc length, wire speed, etc. etc. Now I got to keep practicing! Thanks again to SA. No question he knows what he is talking about. :thumbsup:

Try explaining that to the new safety officer(that's never welded) that says you have to wear ear plugs all the time. Sound can be the difference between passing an x-ray and failing because of the smallest of flaws, especially when you're doing 6010 root passes. Nice to hear it burning in consistently. Now for gouging and heavy grinding, ear plugs should be worn.
