dragoneggs, what'd you give for yours?
Bought online at welder supply.com... with a nice instant rebate. Had to buy an accessory to get the deal but I think it meant 10% off everything. No tax, free shipping.

Millermatic 211 = $1069
Spoolmate 100 = $211

The thing about cold lap (weld laying on metal with insufficient fusion) is that sometimes you can have what looks like a very good weld but in fact has cold lap and lack of fusion. That's why is always good to weave side to side or go in little circles unless you're doing thin sheet metal.

I like the equipment in your signature.A Ford 4wd in the 4600 series was always the tractor I wanted.I ended up getting a Kubota M6800 though w/4wd.

Usually you ask if something is good before you buy it but a 211 is a good machine. That said, for your log splitter I'd probably use the lincoln and 7018 for the parts under stress.

I do have a Lincoln AC/DC 225 stick for the heavy work.

Yeah getting excited. My son could not believe all the stuff I bought.Front seat, back seat, and trunk were full.Glad I did not take a passenger. Was going to take the truck but 140 miles to the fair and the car gets almost triple the mileage. It was a woodsmen/logger fair and have been himming and hawwing the last 3 yrs with the Miller rep.He gave me a pr of gloves 3 yrs ago and I promised him when I was ready to buy he would be the first to know.He remembered me and yearly would bust my chops for ripping him off for the gloves.LOL Oh and one more thing that was in the deal was an air regulator for the plasma cutter.I guess around $35. I would like to get the Miller welding table,a smaller plasma for 110 v,maybe the 375 and the spool gun for aluminum.
