Mike -- We test the competition continuously, no matter how bad. Some of them are pretty good: Maine Roasters, Caribou Coffee, BadAss Coffee. But none of the mass-produced roasters measure up.

In a recent Coffee Review, our Supremo was ranked one of the highest ever...and MH didn't even register. Have you checked your taste buds lately..? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif And just in case, I'll pour over our processes to make sure we didn't slip up. Geez, that really bothers me! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif MH is packaged in a practically stale state, and our whole bean coffees are packaged literally within an hour of roasting. If you still have the package, could you give me the date code located below the barcode? It should look something like 2731G1. Thanks.

We still have some of that Wisconsin petroleum-based cheese if anybody would like some. Gotta admit, though -- the Swiss is outstanding!

HA! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I've copied that one down and pasted it on my calendar so I'll always know when you admitted that we had at least 1 good cheese! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pete:

This thread is getting as amusing as the one about the guy washing his pants in gasoline to kill the diesel smell!!

I like coffee and I have never had Green Mountain or Starbucks for that matter. My coffee experience is limited to whatever is in the pots at work and my morning cup of coffee I make from the teabag and hot water in the microwave!!

Actually, my beverage of choice is Chocolate Milk.

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( Let me get this straight-- The coffee is hot, so you put a sleeve over the cup. This now covers the disclaimer printed on the styrofoam cup telling you that the coffee is hot. Since you can't read the disclaimer anymore that tells you the coffee is hot, you then burn your mouth... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

...the question is, when you burn your mouth from the hot coffee, do you sue the place you got your coffee, or the maker of the cup sleeve that covered the disclaimer on the cup? Or do the cup sleeves have disclaimers on them also?

Andy:

Now I know why I moved from Ohio to Michigan years ago. At least here we don't think about suing all the time. We are after all, "the no-fault state"!

Pete, please know that I meant no disrespect to GMCR's Columbian Supremo Popyan by equating it to Maxwell House's coffee by a similar name. As others have so deftly /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif pointed out, this is due to the degraded state of my taste buds due to years of Folgers. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The package number is 3030D1. Guaranteed fresh until March 11, 2004.

Pete:

Do you and the rest of the crew think that if I cultivate my taste in good coffee, it will also cultivate my prowness with computers??

Pete:

I wonder if you could run that petroleum based cheese through the blender and use it as a diesel additive? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Mike:

Not to change the subject again, but, have you ever noticed that there is no date code on Hostess Twinkies? I think they bake in the wrapper through some mysterious chemical process and remain fresh (sic) for eternity!!
