Anyone have experience with a Japanese mini trucks. I am looking at them closely. Seems like a better buy than a Gator type vehicle for the ranch at half the price.

My investigation found for the money you can't beat them compared to Gator or Kubota RTV. ****, a new one is 14k with AC, auto transmission. A RTV loaded up with cab is 17.5K

Did you click on his website? Prices have gone up considerably. New looks between $25K and $36K.

A new truck with AC and automatic 4x4 with transmission lock up is 14.5K, and $465 delivered to you door. A very nice price, and includes paperwork for vin and license in your state. Texas has MSV license at 35mph max.

I hate to say it but, yall are paying $14+K on a tiny little utility vehicle to ride around your farm on. I cant even fathom paying that right now for a pickup. But again i buy used like i have said many times before and dont care what my trucks really look like. I think you can get a decent used truck for 10K if you look.

Heres a thought. Those things are getting so big (rtv's and mini trucks) why not just buy a decent high mileage used ford ranger 4x4. You can tag it so that if you want to run to town to get more fence feed hay etc you can with out swapping trucks and it will actually run faster than 40mph if you can drive your rtv on the road. A shortbed ranger with a regular cab will go almost everywhere some of those behemith offroad things will go, and it can do so hauling 2000lbs in the bed (now it will squat).

This would be my choice, yea there not as fast to get into and may not run as fast over the terrain as smoothly but are you racing, playing or working? I guess the choice is yours. Id personally buy a $2-3K ranger and then buy a decent used 2wd honda 4wheeler to play on!

Don't want want a old broke down ford to work on. Don't want to pay 20k for a RTV with less comfort. That's why they look so appealing.

OK if your a chevy guy get an S10. If you pay 4K on a ranger you wont have to work on it hardly ever. That will buy you a decent running truck with 180-200K miles on it. As many miles as you would put on it you probably would never have to hardly do anything to it other than a battery and fix flat tires. I hardly every seem to work on my ranger.

Isn't there some kind of rule against trying to talk each other out of buying new toys? I thought that was what wives were for.
