I don't know if you get your tractor out on the road much, but I drive over to some rent prperty a bit maybe 3/4 of a mile and I don't like trucks and cars coming up behind me when I don't know they are there. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

So I got me a pretty chrome mirror for a ski boat and mounted it of the left support for the FEL.

Now they can't come up on my blind side /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

They are also useful to check a towed implement or wagon. Or even on checking on ground engaging equipment. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Somewhere i saw a fisheye style rear view mirror made to mount under a canopy.. great to glance up and see behind you and the implimint.

Yours install looks nice.. clean too.

I had a 4" fisheye mirror on my B2710 for awhile. They're good for some things, and it served the purpose, but as you know "objects in mirror are closer than they appear", so I replaced it with a 4" x 6" flat mirror and liked that much better.

I could have used a mirror this weekend. Got off the tractor for a rest break, took off cowboy hat and put on dealer gimmie hat for better cooling. When I went to get back on tractor I picked up cowboy hat and carried it to the tractor - but I forgot to remove gimmie hat. So, now I'm on tractor with two hats. Being lazy I hung gimmie hat on rear turn signal and headed out. Of course the hat blew off when I wasn't looking. Might have seen it come off if I'd had the mirror.

I did find the gimmie hat though. Unfortunetly the bush hog found it first! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The last time i bushhoged I lost a nice wide brim hat.. had neck protection, etc.... bushog ate it in 2 seconds flat...

very nice.....I have recently considered mounting one of those long 16" x 4" mirrors for an 18 wheeler or old pickup style from my canopy...there only about $16 for the replacement mirror at advanced auto and I could make my own custom bracket...I've been tinkering with the idea for a while now...Maybe its time I start to experiment....

I bought a mirror for my tractor a few months back. It's sitting on the work bench waiting for me to have time to cobble it on. I'll use it on the road and also to check and see if I'm looking good while I'm tractoring /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

6 1/2" x 16"; now that's a lot of mirror; ought to work great.

My Mirror is a car rear view mirror from a garage sale. $1
This is a front window mount rear view mirror. It came with the litle metal pad. I drilled the pad for a flat head screw and then mixed 2 ton epoxy and put it on the pad and screw. The mirror is mounted under the canopy.

Great value. You could find one at an auto salvage yard. Big cars have bigger mirrors. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I built a good canopy. If yours is not so good try one ton super glue.

Jim I also noticed that you had your mirror adjusted so that you could keep your hair combed. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif That's no problem for me since there ain't much left up there to look at any more. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
