Looking for mirror recommendations that allow you to at least have some field of view of 3 point and drawbar attachments. Planning on attaching to loader bracket. Would like them removable when not needed but not completely sold on the magnetic ones. Especially in the case if they fall off it will be just a matter of seconds before the hay mower or baler will eat them up. Recently got a herniated disc in my neck and my range of motion in my neck has been considerably limited.. Boy it sucks getting old.

On my previous tractor I attached mirrors to the underside of the shade canopy.

I hate to have to tell you this. For 25+ years I cleaned snow off my mile long gravel driveway, mailbox area and yard with a 3-point blower. Average snow took four hours to clear everything.

I tried - at least - three different rear view mirrors at many different attachment points. None gave as clear a view as just turning around and looking. There simply is not a solid point - at least - not on a Ford 1700.

That is one of the major reasns - in 2009 - I bought a brand new 2009 Kubota M6040 and HD Rhino 8 foot - rear blade. Traded in the 1982 Ford 1700.

Now I'm heavy enough to plow snow - going forward. My NECK thanks me - my SHOULDERS thank me. Hell - my entire body thanks me. Four hours of blowing snow use to take two days for everything to return to normal.

The rare earth type magnets will be more than sufficient to keep mirrors attached to the loader. I use several to mount a shovel on my tractor. My current cab tractor has mirrors and front / rear cameras... Lots of folks here have installed cameras on both open station and cab tractors.

I don't have to turn around enough to matter but on local tractor drives I need to check on the guy following to make sure he's still there. In a split second once, I grabbed an old snowmobile mirror that is a few inch round mirror on an elastic strap and attaches to the back of my hand. It worked for me and after I got used to it am comfortable using it. I never got mirrors mounted on an open station tractor to work.

Years ago I found this one in the snowbank, off a UPS truck I think :) . Made a simple bracket, and welded it on the loader cross brace. It is not sticking way out, which I like, but it gives me a good view of what's behind me.

I use these cheap Jeep Wrangler mirrors:

They articulate easily but hold their position well. The mounting bracket also absorbs much of the vibration.

I mount then to the FEL frame with a couple of angle iron brackets:

The lower bracket also serves as a handle to steady yourself while mounting & dismounting:

They swing out of the way when hit by a branch and are readily available should one get broken.

If you are mowing hay with a disc machine and an open station tractor, you are playing with fire. Disc machines are notorious for throwing rocks and debris forward toward the back of the tractor (and you) and all makers of disc mowers in their manuals warm the owner / operator of that and recommend only mowing with a cab machine. I runs a disc bine and would never run it on an open station unit, ever.

Far as mirrors go, I bought a nice set of adjustable mirrors from Agri Supply (ASC) and mounted them on brackets I fabbed up from flat stock and mounted them on the top of the loader towers. The ASC mirrors have internal shock dampening and so far they have not failed in 4 years. If you look closely at the right hand side, you can see that mirror and the mount. Same on the other side, just not visible in the picture. I considered mounting a mirror on the Tuff Top roof frame but it would be in the way when getting on or off and it would probably shake too much when moving to be of much use so I didn't.
