Missing 777

Almost certainly the plane was crashed into the ocean. Given that the US Navy is moving its ships to the Indian ocean is a big clue. On its regular course the plane might have been on HK or Taiwan radar and certainly if the plane had gone eastward after leaving it's scheduled course, the plane would have shown up on Taiwan radar. If it had kept going east, the plane would have shown up on Japanese and US radar at some point. Since the plane stayed in the air for 4-5 hours and the path seems to be known because of the engine pings, the plane went west into the Indian Ocean. I would also suspect the US has satellite/ELINT data on the plane and they are using the data from the plane's engines as a reason to move to the Indian ocean.

The passengers likely did not know the plane was off its flight. The only way they would have known early in the flight is if someone was watching the flight on a GPS device. The pilot/copilot might well have told them they were returning to Malaysia....

The problem with the kidnapping scenario is that the plane did not have the fuel on board to get anywhere to the east from the reports I have seen. One can buy large airliners cheap. You don't need to kidnap and then kill a bunch of witnesses if you just want a plane. It would be far easier to pirate a transport aircraft to do something nefarious.

There seems to be someone turning off equipment so there is a person taking system off line. It might be possible that the flight crew was disabled but if the reports are true about multiple course and altitude changes, that is not likely. Most likely one of the flight crew went bonkers and crashed the plane in an act of suicide like the Egyptian plane did a few years ago. Oddly, the Egyptian government still denies it was a deliberate act. A cargo crew was attacked by a company employee years ago who wanted to crash the plane. I think they were able to stop the guy but it was a very bloody event when it was finished.

The unknowns about the plane is horrible since it gives the families some reason to hope...

Later,
Dan

I think it was a well thought out plan. Done on a night flight, knew how to disable tracking devices and disappear off the radar.v I don't think it was terrorism, since no one has claimed responsibility, I think it could be part of a larger episode though. No debris field found, with government looking in that part of the world.

Good thing I dont believe in ET's!

I also believe it is a part of a larger plan, I think the responsible party is quiet because they don't want to show their cards yet. When they do, I think it will be very bad.

If US and Chinese intelligence can't figure out where this plane is (assumming it landed somewhere) and what bad thing someone wants to do with the plane, we truly are in big trouble. A 777 can't just land in someone's backyard and be parked in a shed. My hope is we already know what is going on but won't say for obvious reasons.

I thnk hijackets but not of this world. Aliens.

Don't know which is more lost, the plane or the news media?

   / Missing 777 #29
I haven't really kept up with the news reports regarding this story, but it seems to me that someone is hiding something.

An airliner cannot just disappear in today's world with all the trackers et al that are fitted to them, surely?

My thoughts are that it went down in the ocean and either they don't want to say anything until the wreckage is found or they are not talking for another reason.

I think someone would be claiming victory in solving it then. No debris field is suspect, The engine maker was receiving info from the engines for almost 4 hrs after it went off radar? Probably sitting in a hanger in N Korea for all I know.

yep.. heard that today that it was pinging the sat system for 4 hours after loss of contact. hmm..

I'd look at last known position.. then calculate max flight speed and 4 hours and see what radius it could have landed at.

AND, apparently it was flying under radar too?? 4 hrs on a plane that runs up to 600+mph, that's allot of area.

That's a good point.

Only time will tell I suppose, it can't be missing forever - sometime it has to be discovered, unless there is a cover-up.

alot of area yes. but alot LESS area than saying it has 7 hours of fuel, where could it go.

the area difference in a 7 hour radius vs a 4 is HUUUUUUGE

It's interesting to hear everyone's theories. Theories are based on life experiences. Some are optimistic. Some are pessimistic. Some are scientific. Some are science fiction.

With the life experiences I have to utilize, I think evil. Humans are the most evil species on this planet. Humans also can't keep secrets. It's been over a week I believe?? Someone would have leaked information if there is anyone alive that has information. I say it's crashed and all are dead. The reason will be known. Because along with their evil disposition, humans also like to brag.

They said it was "loaded with fuel" what that meant excactly IDK, but if it landed after 4 hrs and was shut down.hmm. They also said that plane has 12-14 fail safes that had to have been disabled. The 1st was disabled 30 minutes into the flight (transponder) 30-45 minutes later the tracking device was shut down.?? If it was a total failure of the aircraft, I would think this all would have had to happen in the span of minutes and certianly the plane wouldn't have flown for 4 additional hours.

I suspect fowl play, could be sitting under camo, or got to much to handle for a short crew and crashed way far from where there looking.

They did on the news this afternoon. 500mph * 5 hrs = 19 million square miles. Or, 5-6 times the size of the united states (alaska/hawaii included). And they're looking for something that's roughly 200' long x 200' wide. If it did land in the water, you now have to factor in a weeks worth of ocean currents.

And did it stop pinging because it stopped flying, or because "they" figured out how, or remembered they needed to disable the "pinger"?

I am inclined to agree with you there.

Must be the ex cop in me. But I just heard this.. The plane went to 45K feet, then went down to 24k feet. I speculate the best way to kill off the passengers would be to climb to that altitude and DE-pressurize the cabin, they would be dead in less than 10 minutes.

And dont tell me this info is new to them, they knew all this when it occured, they are leaking it slowley for some reason???

IMO the plane is on the bottom of the Indian Ocean. Either hijacked by terrorists or pilot went nuts.
