How much will it weaken WWF with water if I use it to fill rear tires? Planning on half and half. It says on the label, -20 degrees. I know this is when used full strength. It very seldom gets below 20 degrees here where I live. Thanks for any response. zman ;)

I think it would be as cheap to use the cheapest radiator fluid at say 25% or 1 gallon of antifreeze to 3 gallons of water maybe even 4. I am tossing around what you are, but half the WWf and water may dilute the chemical so that its not say good to 10 deg F but maybe only to 30 deg? I dont know and have not looked at their chart if any for dilution. But for my smaller yanmar tires if figured i might only need 3 gallons of antifreeze/tire? which would give me 12-15gallons a tire and you can buy the cheapest antifreeze at walmart for around $9-11 sometimes so tats $30tire. WWf would maybe cheaper at about $2gallon/ but that depends on how much my tires take.

dont think I would mix it with water, look at this chart and decide for your self, but if you cut the WW fluid in half with water, you really raise the freeze point pretty fast. if you can really believe the -20 rating on the WW fluid mix then looks like about 36-37 percent methanol, so if you cut that in half then say 18% ? so maybe 10 deg F ? I would not trust it for the money, WW fluid is cheap. I would "drink" mine straight up:licking:

Methanol (METHYL ALCOHOL) Concentrate
Vol.% ---Freezing Point,F ---Flash Point,F

0-------- 32f--------No Flash
13------- 20f --------130f
24------- 0f ---------110f
35------ -15f---------95f
46 ----- -40f---------85f
56------ -65f---------75f
66------ -95f---------70f
75------ -115f--------60f
83------ -125f--------55f
92------ -130f--------55f
100----- -144f--------55f

I would see what it would cost to take the tires somewhere and get them filled with RimGuard. It is heavier than WWF or antifreeze and not corrosive to rubber or rims. It is also not toxic to animals. Your tires aren't that big so it shouldn't be a big deal to take them off and take them to a tire shop or dealer that fills with RimGuard.

As to the 50/50 mix of WWF, I don't know if the dilution would be linear,

Likely right, there are not enough data points in the chart I posted to get much of a feel for the curve, probably not a 45 deg. angle.

At $2 per gallon, I would just pour it in.
I used the Polyethelene glycol. (RV Antifreeze, not toxic), cheapest I could find was $4 per gallon.

Well it wouldn"t surprise me if these ain"t the original tires on this tractor. they are ag tires. So kind of old, but they hold air well. Only added air once in a year. So how about full strength wwf and one pint of water pump lubricant in each tire?

I didnt find that exact tire size. but try this:

8-16 11.7 so looks like 11.7 gallons this if for 75% FILL. with valve stems at 12 o'clock does that seem about right?
