Every few hours my Joystick flops to left side. Dealer fixed it first time at 40 hours and, think heaven, showed me problem. It is now at 100 hours and I have had to fix it 4 more times. I have attached a picture. It is always this upper right hand turnbuckle that backs out and sometimes
it will back totally off. The turnbuckle is locked in place so it's not spinning so it must be the piece it screws into that goes into joystick body. Any ideas on how to fix???

I have the same loader and the same problem. Mine always gets "spongy" just before it completely backs out. I go ahead and take the boot off at that time and tighten it back up. Wonder if any of the threadlocker products would work?

Like awill99, I am anxious to hear any solutions anyone might have.

Those joysticks are supposed to be loctited together during installation per the valve manufacturer. If this was to happen, I would guess that no one would have this issue.

Would using LOCTITE 242 or Loctite 2033 thread locker work for you? Did the dealer put any on it the first time he repaired it.

A solution besides using loctite would be to replace the current nut with one with a locking plastic insert. I have found the nuts with the locking plastic inserts will withstand a lot of vibration and not loosen.

Hey fellas, I've had the same problem on my ML245 loader on my 4530. I called the Mahindra dealer and he also said Loctite it. I have not "loctited" it yet, but guess I will. It has backed off twice in less than 50 hrs. I am in no way complaining though, the tractor and FEL have been as tough as a tank. I was worried about not buying a 50 plus hp tractor this time, but I have been very, very pleased with my 4530 and the ML245 and would recommend it to anyone . Thanks, and have fun!!

My joystick on my ML275 did the same thing. I locktited it the first time it happened and it has been over 150 hours since with no problems. Jam nuts or locking nuts won't do the trick. Machining flats on the spool (valve?) rod that could be held with a wrench would be a big plus.
hugs, Brandi

Hi Brandi,

Which color Loctite did you use? Thanks!!

The Loctite 242 cost about $12.50
Blue Threadlocker (242) is used for mounting bolts, pumps and compressors. Recommended for fasteners from 1/4" through 3/4". This non-wicking formula cures in 10 minutes with full strength in 24 hours. Medium strength, requires handtools to remove once applied.

The Loctite 2033 cost about $26-33.00
Medium strength Loctite 2033 is packaged in ergonomic 35 ml bottle that has pinpoint and flat-top dispense heads. Formulated for use on assemblies with Loctite 2033 Gel Threadlocker is formulated for use on assemblies with coarse, wide, deep, or large threads sized one-quarter to one inch. it cures when confined in absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening from shock and vibration.
