With the grass growing so fast and cutting 2 times per week plus the projects I have going on. I am switching back and forth a lot from FEL to MMM. I had to make some kind of cart to help my back out. We all know the switch over is easy and the deck comes off in a few seconds but I need to store it up right in my garage. Let me know what you think? I use the FEL with hooks to drop it in the holder but the pipes can be removed really easy.

Great idea!

I usually just lean it against a wall in the barn, but have to chock it up with a couple bricks so it won't fall over. Your cart is a good safe way to store and move it.

I like it.. How did you / what did you use to install the uprights?

I bought the mower axles from Larry a few years ago. They are worth every penny...

Those mower axles look like a good idea too. How do you install the axles? DO you have to lift the deck up and remove the existing anti-scalp wheel and the install the axle? How does the second wheel attach to the axle?

Loogie,
You just need to lift the deck a little to drop out the anti-scalp wheels, then slide the axles in, and put the pin in place. The wheel is held on with a small spring clip.
No tools required, and only take about 1 minute per side taking your time. The deck is extremely stable when in the upright position.

I second the mower axles - they are a bit pricey but they are very well built and work well. I use mine for longer term (winter) storage.

Just some pipe and mounting plate. I think I have $30.00 in it with the cart.

The perfect place to store a mower deck in the winter is under the boat trailer also being stored for the winter! In the summer, it stays on the tractor most weeks.
