BabyBota said:Another way to get the pto aligned is to lock the mid pto in gear and to move the belt on the deck back and forth to rotate the deck driveshaft in small incremants to get the coupling to align. It woks well for me. Put some grease on the coupling also, slides on easier. I double check that the drive shaft locks to the pto, I'd hate to see the damage it could do if it came loose while mowing. Good luck.
Billy_S said:One of the things that I find helpful is to not worry about pulling the locking collar back UNTIL it is on the shaft. It will slip onto the shaft a bit, THEN pull the collar back and slide it the rest of the way on.
It does get easier with repetition.
