The title says it all. I'm looking to get a B2320 Hydro or a BX2360 with a 60" belly mower. I've searched and read the forum till my eyeballs are dancing around but still can find out if you can lower and mow with the belly mower and keep a implement raised on the hitch.

If you can't you would have take off the implement each time you lowered the belly mower and that isn't what I would like to do. I've read how you can raise the mower and lock up in the up position and use a three point implement like a tiller or a cultivator. But I think dragging a cultivator around the lawn while mowing would not be a good idea!

Also can you turn on the MMM pto and not turn on the pto on the implement? So can I mow with the belly mower on a B or BX and raise a tiller up in the back and have its pto power off or would I have to take the tiller off every time I wanted to mow with the belly mower?

I would love to be able to till the garden with the tiller and then lift it up and just lower the mower and start mowing but I think thats not doable....is it?

My BX2660 I can't lower the middle mower and keep the rear up. Either they both move together or I lock the middle mower in the up position and can just lower the rear. As for PTO use I can select to use either just the rear, just the middle, or both at the same time.

I've got a BX2660 so like Corey says. But I guess I'm trying to invision why you would want to mow with an implement (cultivator?) on the 3 pt? If you disconnect on good flat land it's pretty easy to hook back up and you wouldn't have to deal with it while mowing. Not knocking the idea, just wondering.

I'm disabled and in a wheelchair. Live on a farm and my family has to help put on and off implements. Was thinking how good it would be to be able to use a belly mower and just raise up and turn off a tiller without having to take it off and on. I have a L5040GST that I use for loader work and I leave the bushhog on it while using the loader and thats very good for me in my position. I thought a smaller Kubota that I could use a MMM on and then switch over to the rear 3pt implement with just using the controls would be the cats meow. It would appear that that isn't a option like I first thought it might be. Thanks for the responses guys.....I love this forum!

I think he's trying to increase effeciency (do one job and go straight to the other without fiddling with the 3 point.) The only way I can think of is, there is two small holes by the top link arm that is designed to keep the lift arms from moving up and down when your not using the 3 point hitch. You would need a way to tie and secure your implement to those holes to keep it up while using the MMM. That's about all I can think of.

You beat me with the posting, lol. Let us know how you make out and if you find/think of anything.

Now I gotcha. Makes sense to me now.

Hmmmmmmmm........since the BX and B**20 series use a quarter inching valve to contol the 3 pt hitch I guess my next question will be if the position valve used on the B2630/B3030 is different in use and can lift the hitch while the mower is lowered......heck it might! :D

The mmm comes off in less than 5 minutes, goes back on easily too.
I have bent the roller by the chute several times leaving the mower on in rough terrain so I take it off now. Got pretty good at pulling the bent bracket out with a chain attached to a tree too

On my B1700 the deck height is set with the wheels on the deck, the hydraulic lift has no affect, so you could have a tiller on the 3 point and up while you mowed. I can run either the rear or mid PTO independently. What you suggest can be done.

A couple of thoughts. Tight areas you will lose some maneuverability because of the increased length, you will have to be conscious it is back there when making tight swings.

Using the tiller will be hard on the deck and leave a mess of your tilled ground. With the deck on you've really reduced your clearance. A tiller really chops up the dirt and leaves it quite a bit higher. The wheels will leave tracks everywhere if they are wider than the tiller, the edge of the deck may drag in the dirt. I think it may be a lot of strain the mounting linkage wasn't designed to handle.

A quick hitch makes attaching an implement a lot simpler. You would still have to deal with the PTO shaft, but every little bit helps.
