I agree. Just because JiffyLube advertises changing the oil every 3000 miles (to get your business more often) doesn't mean those are the rules. I, until very recently, have been using "regular" (not synthetic) oil in all of my vehicles and have been changing oil every 7500-10,000 miles. I've never had a problem with any car related to oil problems and I've kept most of my previous vehicles until they've rolled over 100,000 miles. I've still got my current Honda Civic running fine with 137,000 miles.
