Top & Tilt ...
On the 3-Point assembly there are some turnbuckles that allow you to adjust the amount of tilt on the lower links and the top link. T&T replaces these with hydraulic cylinders that can be operated from the driver seat. Saves a lot of aggrivation and time that would be spent getting on & off the tractor to adjust the tilt angles of the attatchment especially on sloping terrain. Too easy!:D :D :D

Did she actually drive the 3215 or just look at it? There's a big difference between something looking too big and feeling too big once you're using it.

Look at the pics on my thread "finally - pictures" ... pic #2 show the hydraulic block for the top&tilt on the right fender. I'll take some closeups of the unit when the weather clears a bit, currently it is tarped over until I can get a shed or garage built.

I see the block, and also found more at this post:

Honestly, I've used and rented mostly skid steers and mini-excavators around here. Since I don't mow either I've never once used a 3PH for anything. Since this is aftermarket-looking I suppose I can always wait and do it later if I need it. I will be using a box blade to maintain my roads.

I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome and responses so far - I'm feeling plugged in to the tractor world now.

We will be going to the Calhoun distribution plant probably Wed to see a 2015 TLB myself. Looks like this thing is gonna happen soon!

Ok, tomorrow could be the big day, we are going to possibly finalize the deal at All Pro American, American All Pro Tractors - We Deliver Anywhere!.

With ag tires on the 2015 HST, does anyone have any issues with going ahead and getting them filled? I hear just using a water/antifreeze mix is the way to go. Had one guy wonder if that would make the tractor too heavy and cause problems.

Also, I really like the idea of this toothbar, EZ STANDARD TOOTH BAR ATTACHMENT. Has anyone heard good things about it? I like the idea of a stronger bucket cutting edge instead of just the individual teeth like I see on almost all the other toothbars. Does anyone know of a comparable toothbar which makes a new cutting edge like this one - which will work on the ML104 48" bucket? This is the only one I could find.

Except for color, hat toothbar doesn't look any different than the one's from Markham Welding, a sponsor on TBN. By all means, if you are getting a loader, fill your tires. I've never heard of filled rear tires being a problem. Just the opposite is true in most applications where traction is an issue. If you are getting a backhoe, and plan on leaving it in place, that will add a lot of weight, and filling tires may not be necessary. If you have a loader, and no backhoe, without filled tires you aren't operating at peak efficiency. You'll be spinning your wheels more often.

the toothbar is great. I got one from Markham as well. A very wise idea to strengthen the edge if you are doing any kind of digging/scraping. Plus they can be removed in 10 minutes if you want to push snow or make a smooth pass.

I didn't have my rear tires filled as I have a backhoe and other heavy implements, but on a tractor that size it would be a good idea, unless you are going to mow the lawn with it, which I doubt since you are getting ag tires.

I looked at Markham Welding - Tooth Bar to see the Markham toothbar. What I see from those pictures is that the bar portion is set back and on top of the bucket cutting edge. Are there other Markham toothbars which make a new cutting edge and go over the bucket? I see the EZ Attachments one as a combination toothbar and wear bar. In my case I was looking for something to protect and reinforce the ML104 bucket as well as add teeth.

It most definitely supports the cutting edge. I went back and got a few pics of mine. One shows an up close of how the teeth go under and above the cutting edge and the bar they are welded to sits up and back to stay out of the way but also strengthens the whole edge. It doesn't add a new cutting edge but it does beef up and compliment the original.

Finalized the paperwork today, tractor delivery is tomorrow! These guys move fast. Actually, they already had a pickup from the distribution center for tomorrow and just added mine to the list.

BTW - Mahindra only puts R4 industrial tires on 2015s with a BH. The ground contact area is greater than for ags and the R4s may be rated for more weight. Hope I don't slip around in the mud.

I think you made a wize decision for what you are looking for. I purchased a 2015hst w/loader a few months ago and have been very happy with it. One thing I like best is that you can get it in and out of the garage without putting the rops down. The 2615 is higher and you would have to put it down everytime you put it away. (I think). The reason I say this is that my tractor hasn't made it to the barn yet (still too shiny). :) You will be impressed with the digging capacity of the front loader once you get comfortable with it and a little aggressive. It is the perfect size. Not a lawnmower size and not too big. I did get a toothbar through my dealer. Good luck, have fun and be safe.

7acher - I guess you should have some hours on the new arrival by now, eh? Got any pics?
I have a new 2015hst with 7hrs now. It only took 2 weeks to decide that the backhoe was a necessity, so I took it back this week and had the BH put on.
Dropped it off in the morning and picked it back up after work!
I played with it in the mud today and found that the R4's tended to fill up with mud & start spinning when I used the loader. Got mired down a couple of times :( but learned quickly how to use the 'ho to pull myself out. :)
Have fun playing, oops..working with your new toy, er..tool. :D

Well, I was hoping to have more to update with by now, but here's the status. Some misunderstanding resulted in a 2015 gear TLB arriving on the morning of 12/23. Pretty as it was, I had to send it back since I think we should have the HST.

I can't say enough good about the dealer in Lawrenceville though. They are working thru this with us in a way which would earn anybodys business. And hopefully, we will be finalizing on an HST with them soon.

The extra money for the HST pushes the price right up there to almost even money with the Kubota 7610 w/FEL and BH. We have a really good dealer for those about 24 miles away. My bride wanted to swing by there again, so we had a good talk with Greg Bearden at their place in Carrollton. And of course, there's that cute litle BX-24 sitting out front which she was just taken with at first sight. And it's a fine tractor, too, but not in the same league with the others in the mix. She is so convinced that it would do the job for us, just would take longer. For instance, not being able to lift or even drag a particular log with it means it won't do the same job, and it would be sitting on the bench more.

Since we have been at loggerheads for days now, looks like we might miss out on getting this done by the end of today - which is the last day the paperwork can get done this year. Then the next 2015 HST we talk with the dealer about will probably cost more. But the Kubotas probably will, too.

I've had a good look at both brands, Mahindra 2015, Kubota 7510 & 7610. I'm convinced the Mahindras are significantly beefier. You gotta go up to the Kubota 7800 or 3030 to get in the weight range of the Mahindra, and when you look, you can see that weight in the heavier castings and frame on the red one. The Kubota folks say theirs was specially designed to be the lightest it can be for that weight but still plenty strong. Another thing, if you look at how the BH goes on both, the Mahindra has big square steel tubes which run up front to where the FEL attaches, decreases the ground clearance a little, but takes the stress off the tractor bell housing. The Kubotas attach to the 3PH and to a subframe mount only in the back. But the orange ones are capable and proven - and they have better resale value. And the way this is going, resale value could become an issue.

So, from her, if we're not gonna get the cute lil' BX-24, we should get the Mahindra. Besides the cuteness thing, she is convinced the size of the 2015 TLB will limit us getting in some places around trees. Hopefully, I can get a neighbor of ours who has a JD CUT to sit down with us awhile. Maybe she will listen to him - cuz she's not listening to me.

Every once in awhile she will just sigh and say "Let's just get the Mahindra". I know well enough not to bite on that one. That would mean I would hear about it for years - that I got the one I wanted - that it was too big - that she couldn't use it as well as she could have used the BX-24, etc. Let's see what my neighbor can do. It's gotta be her decision too, or there will be trouble.
