So, in a decreasing market Montana is growing. Thus our % should be on track if we sell the projected number we should be selling.

Somthing does not quite make sense here. Kubota says their share increased by about 3% last year, CNH told us they held constant. So who is loosing here?

Good question, who is losing market share. No doubt someone is.

I see all these numbers and wonder if everyone is reporting the same way, when you say 3300 units sold is this retail or just filling up dealers lots. I'm just not sure how this works that why I'm asking, to me sold should be retailed out the door. Jason

thats a very good point. If they where being totally honest they would use the figures from AEM, however that stuff is protected pretty closely and really expensive. One of the small companies that we work with (different industry) does exactly what you mentioned. They figure things sitting on our lot as sold.

Jason,

Boy, did you hit the nail on the head!!!
That is my question also.
(When units are sent to dealers lots under a floor plan---the supplier is paid at the time of shipment by the floor plan company. That does not mean that the tractor has been retailed to the consumer.)

Folks
I would "assume" that is units shipped to dealers. I am sure it is not retailed units, that number is far less than 3300.

Good question. I wonder how the industry as a whole tallys this.

From going by their home office / assembly location several times yearly and living in that area, I can't see any of those numbers being any where close to being right. If they are it would be amazing, but I can't see it.

I believe AEM goes by warranty registrations. (Retailed units)
