Respectfully.. I'd have to disagree with you.

Power cycles .. off/onn states and inrush are the detrimental times for an electronic device like a multi-transistored chip.

I don't worry too much about the basic discreet components.. like single packaged parts.. but IC's are iffy about heat and power cycles in the extremes and long term.. etc....

6 years and 1600 hours...the only attention I give mine is cleaning the sight glass off on occasion and checking the hydro level.I also change the hydro oil and filter on occasion and the oil never looks dirty.
About a thousand hours have been from timbering,skidding logs for 1 1/2 miles over a hundred thousand board feet to the mill. JD 4400 and the locals never thought I could move timber like I have with the tractor. Time will be the judge,everything else is hypothetical.

1600 hours is just barely broke in by any standards. There are Hydro's (International Harvester) that have been in use since the mid-60's. They are money pits when they get to wearing out. Most never get fixed.

Darn near everything is peachy when it's new. I'm talking about 5000 (+) hours and rode hard. Old tractors (before the 1980's) took that sort of use in stride. I don't see todays new rigs doing that.

That's what I'm talking about.

I want to know how it is going to run when the tread has been worn off the pedal so to speak.. refering to clutch pedals that used to have tread, but are worn smooth over 50-60 ys of use.. and are still on the same clutch!
