I got so far as modifying my 40v Ryobi saw for remote control, but never got it mounted. I think the mount needs to be flexible enough that you don't put too much weight on the saw.I got this idea to mount my chainsaw on the side of my loader so I can reach up and trim limbs with it. Anybody ever hear of such a thing or see it tried (aside from the obvious safety concerns).
I installed a small relay and power jack in the saw so applying 12v from an external source makes it run (full speed). Doesn't prevent normal operation of the saw. I planned to mount it using the bar studs.
Edit: now that i have 3rd function figured out, I'd really like smokeydog's arrangement.
